Today was a very eventful day, this morning we visited the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in Dubai. We learned all about their role in the Maritime sector and how they guide Dubai into the future with many unique initiative’s including the introduction of ROV’s (Remotely Operated Vessels) and zero carbon emissions by 2050. We finished up around 1 o’clock, so we all went back to the hotel and sat by the pool and got food. After my roommates and I decided we wanted to watch the sunset and look at the stars, so we traveled and hour south east towards the border of Oman. So the light pollution from the city wouldn’t affect the night sky. We arrived at the location and hiked up the mountain to the top and watched the sunset and the stars from there. It was a very nice and calm way to end the day.
