Abu Dhabi: Day 5

This morning we woke up extra early and took taxis to Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy. We were welcomed back with their usual hospitality and a delicious breakfast.

My fellow cadets and I gave presentations on one of the five clusters that make up AD Port group. Each group presented to an audience made up of both Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy cadets and staff as well as stakeholders representing each of the clusters. Our presentations were judged by the stakeholders and staff of ADMA.

While every group did an outstanding job, congratulations are in order for 3/C Marsden, 3/C Ward, 3/C Skowronska, and Abdulla Alsuwaidi of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy on their excellent presentation that earned them the achievement of “Most Outstanding Case Study.” It’s worth noting that Captain Varun of ADMA said that he was personally impressed with 3/C Chirchoine, 3/C Ferrari, and 3/C Leo. Overall, the presentations were a great demonstration of how much we have already learned while being here.

Following the presentations and a lunch provided by ADMA, we received a detailed presentation about the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers from a Fellow, Captain Khalid.

After saying our goodbyes to the ADMA cadets and Captain Varun, we took taxis back to the hotel and enjoyed Abu Dhabi’s winter weather at the hotel’s outdoor roof-level pool.
