January 22, 2025: Today, MMA’s Emergency Management Department, Barnstable County and Air Force Emergency Management are proud to host retired Boston Police Chief Dan Linskey for his presentation: Leading Before, During and After the Crisis: A Case Study of the Boston Marathon Bombing Attack. More than 100 local law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and representatives from various public safety agencies gathered to attend this important presentation.

On October 22-23, our sophomore emergency management class, along with several juniors and seniors, participated in an active shooter drill at Logan Airport. It was a valuable experience for them to witness the results of 18 months of planning. Over 500 volunteers and multiple agencies took part in the tactical emergency casualty care exercise.




Friday, September 20, 2024: Today, our freshmen class (95 cadets!) participated with MA Port Authority and Boston Logan International Airport for a full scale exercise. Our students were role players in a simulated airplane crash. This provides students valuable experience in witnessing one of the most important pieces in emergency management- drills & exercises!
