IMB | Thailand 2025: Day 13

Day 13: Luke Poulin

Hello everyone,

I am Luke Poulin, a sophomore in the IMB program at MMA and I graduated from Weymouth High School.

Today marks day thirteen for me and my classmates EL trip to Thailand. This was a travel day as we left the Rua Rasada Hotel in Trang to fly back to Bangkok.

For the past two days, we explored the amazing beaches and caves of this country which had views like nothing I had ever seen before. It truly felt like I was dreaming while our boats took us to those amazing caves and snorkeling locations which I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to experience again.

As for today, the most eventful part was visiting a Buddhist temple where we paid our respects. It was an interesting experience because I’m not much of

a religious person but I felt a connection between myself and these amazing sculptures of Buddha. The name of the temple was Wat Sarikaram. Perhaps I could research Buddhism and find out more about it.

It was a short trip because we had to

head over to the airport to catch a flight back to our dorms at the Asian Institute of Technology.

We were tired from the past two eventful days so I noticed a lot of people napping and relaxing as we headed back to our main place of residence for the trip.

Although today was relatively uneventful and we pretty much just travelled, it felt good to relax and spend the day enjoying food and catching up on some sleep.

I would say my favorite part was definitely

experiencing the Temple and understanding the Buddhist culture a little more.

I love animals so it was nice for me and my friends to see all the cows, lizards, and dogs we saw while going to the airport. I wish I had a more eventful day to write about but it’s also important to have a rather tranquil day at the same time.

I will definitely say me and my friends are looking forward to bed soon because tomorrow will be a lot more educational and exciting than today.
